Why do glasses get dirty so easily?
Friends who wear glasses often complain about one problem: why are my glasses so easy to get dirty? Let's find out the reason.
Once you wear glasses for myopia, you basically take them off except when you sleep or wash your face. Some friends with high myopia even wear them when they take a shower. Let's analyze why glasses worn all day are so easy to get dirty?
First: the film layer of the lens. The surface of the lens will be coated to prevent dirt and dust. If the lens is easy to get dirty, it may be that your lens surface lacks anti-fouling film and anti-static film layer, making it easy for dust to adhere to the surface of the lens.
Second: the adjustment of the lens, such as the distance between the lens and the eye. If the distance between the lens and the eye is adjusted too close and the cheekbones are too high, it is possible that the lower edge of the lens is attached to the skin surface or your eyelashes are too long and the eyelashes will brush against the lens when you blink.
Third: personal habits. After wearing glasses, we will unconsciously do one more action, which is to push or lift the glasses. When lifting the glasses, it is likely to touch the lenses and cause fingerprints. Failure to clean them in time may cause dust to be adsorbed, or we may accidentally touch the lenses after taking off the glasses. Especially for women, in special situations such as makeup and cooking, the mirror surface is more likely to be stained.
Fourth: other reasons, such as soup that is easy to splash when we drink soup or eat hot pot, poor air quality and severe haze, rainwater floating on the lenses on rainy days, water vapor when taking a bath in a hot spring, etc., if they are not cleaned in time, they are all the reasons for dirty lenses.
So how should we maintain it in normal times:
1. When choosing lenses, try to choose those with anti-fouling and anti-static functions;
2. Correctly adjust the distance between the frame and the eye (the distance between the lens and the vertex of the cornea of the eyeball is 9-15mm);
3. The lenses should not come into contact with the skin, and should also avoid contact with cosmetics, chemicals, high temperatures, etc.;
4. When cleaning the lenses, you can first rinse with clean water or add a little detergent, and then use a clean paper towel to dry the surface water stains. Remember to wipe with the corner of your clothes or an old lens cloth;
5. If there is no clean water, you can first blow on the surface of the lens to blow off the dust, and then use a clean lens cloth to try in the same direction;
6. When storing glasses when not wearing them, the lenses should face up and should not come into contact with hard objects to avoid scratching the film layer.
