  How to maintain Acetate glasses

The Acetate glasses are made of high-tech plastic memory sheet. The current sheet composition is mostly acetate fiber, and a few high-end frames are propionate fiber. The acetate sheet is divided into injection molding type and pressing and polishing type. As the name suggests, the injection molding type is made by casting with a mold. Therefore, the high temperature resistance and flexibility of the sheet glasses are not very good, and they need to be carefully maintained.

So how should the Acetate glasses be maintained?

Keep the glasses from deforming so that the optical center of the lens matches the interpupillary distance. If you wear glasses with one hand for a long time, the uneven force on both sides will cause deformation of the frame, so you should wear glasses with both hands.

The glasses should not be placed randomly, and should be put in the glasses case as far as possible to avoid squeezing. When placing the lens, the surface of the lens should face up to avoid abrasion of the lens surface.

When wiping the glasses, use a special glasses cloth to prevent the small sand particles from abrading the lenses. The cleaning agent should not be corrosive.

The glasses should not be placed in high temperature and humid environments for a long time, such as under the windshield of a car, bathroom, kitchen, so as not to accelerate lens aging and frame deformation.

How to clean sheet glasses

1. Put the glasses under the faucet and get wet.

2. Put two drops of detergent on both lenses.

Hold the glasses with one hand, and rub the thumb and index finger of the other hand gently up and down the lens until there is a little foam.

3. Bring the foam to the glasses frame easily.

4. Then rinse with clean water.

5. Use a soft tissue to absorb the water droplets remaining on the lens, and wipe off the water droplets on the frame. After washing, do not wipe the lens with facial tissue, which may cause water stains to remain.
