7 ways to relieve eyestrain
Visual fatigue and eye fatigue are common problems encountered by office workers, especially now that summer has arrived. The weather is hot and humid, people cannot sleep well at night, cannot get up in the morning, and have no energy at work. Eyes are more easily fatigued when staring at computer and mobile phone screens for more than 12 hours a day. Here are some ways to relieve eye fatigue!
1. Reading, working, etc. under dim light will not hurt your eyes, but if the light does not provide enough light and dark contrast, it will make your eyes easily tired. Use soft light that provides light and dark contrast (light that is not glaring). Do not use electric lights that reflect light directly into your eyes.
2. Combine work and rest. If you use the computer for 6-8 hours continuously, you should take a break every 2-3 hours. Have a cup of coffee, go to the bathroom, or just take your eyes away from the computer for 10-15 minutes.
3. Adjust the computer screen settings. The fonts and numbers on the computer screen are like small light bulbs that directly shine light into your eyes. Therefore, you need to lower the brightness of the screen and adjust the contrast (light and dark contrast) to make the fonts clear. Adjust the computer screen settings to protect your eyes.
4. Close your eyes and rest. The best way to relieve eye fatigue is to let your eyes rest. This is easier than you think. You can close your eyes while talking on the phone. If you don't need to read or write anything, then you can close your eyes and rest while chatting. People who practice this method while talking on the phone say that their eyes are indeed much more comfortable and help eliminate eye fatigue.
5. Make tea. But not for drinking, but for applying to the eyes. Soak a towel in the tea, lie flat, apply the warm towel to the eyes, and close your eyes for 10-15 minutes. This will eliminate your eye fatigue. Be careful not to pour the tea into your eyes, and let the tea cool down for a while before dipping the towel.
6. Pay attention to blinking more. Blinking 300 times deliberately every day will help clean your eyes and give them a small massage.
7. Warm your eyes with your hands. Rub your hands until they are warm. Then, close your eyes and cover the eye sockets with your palms. Do not press on your eyes, just cover them. Breathe deeply and slowly. Do this for 20 minutes every day.
These 7 small methods are relatively easy, and we can adapt to them relatively quickly in our daily lives. Yichao hopes that everyone can have the brightest eyes and keep fatigue away from our eyes!
